When we grow up, things just gets more boring I guess

Sometimes people talk about they getting stress over dance
Taking so much of their time and complaining about it
And blame dancing for alot of things
I feel that it so unfair to blame dancing like that

If in your opinion that Dancing is the blame to all your shit
Then you should stop
Why continue on something that brings you more negativity

Others who have dance for some time might question themselves
"Is it difficult to enjoy dancing now?"
When we all first started, everything was carefree and easy
But the longer we grow, the expectation of standards elevates

To me its Never difficult to enjoy dancing
To those that feel its difficult to enjoy it,
The cause is the nature of seeking for improvement
Dancing is never difficult to enjoy
Its the feeling of being stuck, inferior to others or expectations
That are causing the downside

Respect

Respect can be for alot of things
But for now Im going to talk about Respect for the STAGE

The stage is where we(dancers) channel our expression and
work of art to the people. It is the platform that gives us
this special oppurtunity. Yet it is our friend and it can
also be our worst enemy.

Be it in any form, Competition or Performance, Respect has
to be given where it is due. One would question how to give
a flat piece of surface Respect?

Answer: Easy, Put up a good performance.

Doing it is another thing. Effort has to be put in. Sweat has
to drip.

- Angles must be Clean
- Formation cannot be Messy
- Traffic is Clear
- Costumes are Fresh
- Routine is Tight

The Stage deserve a good and sincere performance.

Thats Respect.

To all NRA juniors, I cant say it to all of you personally as there are really alot of you haha
But i want to say that i am really PROUD and glad that i have you guys as my juniors
You guys improve so much!! and i can see that you guys push
I think at the rate you guys are pushing is really bloody fast that got me thinking, "Damn! I got to freaking buck up" haha
But also dont be complacent with what you have. If you guys can push so fast, imagine what the newer batch are capable of
I hope i have help out with some of you with your improvement. I try whenever i can if I see something that you guys can work on, I will tell you guys.
I dunno whether I have been too straight and might have offended some of you. If I did, I APOLOGIZE. SO SO SORRY
Oh yes one more very important thing...

Guys and Girls, PLEASE CONDITION YOUR BODY!!

I think this message have not been properly brought across to everybody.
We all push to improve but there is just that much our body can take and it needs rest
And if you see your fren is doing something wrong that can possibly hurt him/her, please tell them

Condition means rest, plenty of rest, stretching (warm ups and cool down which alot of people dont do), massages, vitamins and many more

Just dont hurt yourself aite. getting hurt means no dance for a few weeks
trust me, you will get bloody itchy one

Everytime I watch a class, I will observe you guys and I am really surprise that you've grown so much.
Not only dance wise, but also mindset. Maturity comes with time

So yeah dont get complacent okay. Once that takes over you, you will die haha
So remember to practice your basics, condition your body and dont forget the element of fun too :)

Sushi

How it all started -

It was when 3 guys were crazy enough to join a fun dance battle at Butter Factory. So they started preparing one day before. But unfortunately one of us, Alex, couldn't be down. So Ore step in to help and end up it was him, Ron and me to represent. It was funny as Ore's objective for this Butter Factory Party was to "Lepak". But end up he gotta sweat it out.

So came to the battle, we still didn't have a name. When the MC ask for our group name, Ore came up with "Sushi". Reason = all of us were freshies at that time and sushi is serve fresh.
Thats it.
Thats all to it. Random
From there on Sushi is us.
Ronnie, Ore, Farid, Alex

This crew keeps each other motivated and push each and everybody to improve. Most importantly we don't forget the element of having fun.
From idle chats to pointless sessions to bloopers.
We have this thing about being vain. The 4 of us will just look in the mirror and pose for a few seconds.
We do it so often that it almost turn into a habit.
In the end this turn into a Sushi ritual haha

Basics, Choreography, Tricks, Freestyle, Versatility and Character

With time, this 4 man Crew grew and accepted new members which will be a part of our Brotherhood.
We are priviledge and proud to present Bao Wen and Jia Jun!
Now we are a strong 6 man crew.

Everyone in the crew is an asset. Each individual is unique and they present something different to the table.

Ronnie -
This dude is talent. He is equipped with this clean/smooth style with amazing musicality. Started out weak with totally no confidence in freestyling and now this cat is one of the best freestyler around

Ore -
This guy's animation is insane. And talking about versatility, he can do almost everything you throw at him. Be it a different style of dance or choreography. His best pointers is that he has an ability to kill the music everytime he freestyles. His tricks and blow ups are always fresh and entertaining

Alex -
Bboying. Nuff said. He picks up things fast. Not only is he a bboy. He can dance. With the fire for bboying in him, this cat is dangerous on the battle floor.

Bao Wen -
This dude is a ball of fun. Having him around keeps us motivated for he is hardworking and not afraid to try. And he is good with his hands. In freestyle of course. A good freestyler. Signature = Chest Pops

Jia Jun -
This one is a late bloomer. But when he does come out, he exploded! Technique and House is what this guy is made for. He trains hard. Everytime we come back for a session, he comes out stronger each time.

I am thankful and forever grateful that all of us met and made this crew something I hold dearly.
I have never taken this crew for granted.
All the heart to heart talks, all the laughters, all the sessions and all the sweat.
Thanks bro :)
